I am a formalist…
I’ve just completed another term at the Centre for Creative Photography, where we essentially looked at different genres. What I loved about this term was that I really nailed my style. I am a formalist. Simply put: I love lines. And I have a little of the urban landscape photographer in me as well. Check out my assessment portfolio (below) and you will see that I speak the truth.

My tiny feet follow in the rather deep and broad footsteps of Lewis Baltz, John Pfahl, Joel Meyerowitz and Adelaide-based photographer, Mark Goddard. Mark was one of my assessors yesterday, and he said that I made the mundane seem interesting and beautiful. High praise, indeed.
Not bad for a girl who had not heard the word “aperture” until 12 months ago!
You are amazing. You have done a beautiful job of capturing interesting perspectives. Keep it up girl friend. 🙂
This is too funny. I am also taking photography classes. My main reason is to understand how and what my equipment can do. The second reason is to take creative or quality pictures for my blog.
Thank you! I was a TERRIBLE photographer until a year ago. I can’t believe how much I have developed (no pun intended!) by taking a couple of courses and buying a decent DSLR and understanding how it works. If I can do it, anyone can! Hope your course is going well, too!
