What I’m Doing Now
It’s been a challenging couple of years since returning to Adelaide, and apart from being scrupulous about watching lectures, attending workshops and submitting assignment for my law degree, as well as entering flash fiction contests and doing the odd creative writing class, I’ve been quite aimless with my goal-setting. This is despite not wanting to be. But this is a new year, right? Time to write myself a new life chapter.
Short-term goals
- Blog monthly – I have set myself a 12 Essays in 2024 challenge.
- Enter the Australian Writers’ Centre monthly #furiousfiction (flash fiction) competition.
- Sumit my flash pieces to magazines for publication.
Medium-term goals
- Write a course that teaches authors how to create and manage their own self-hosted WordPress website by March 2024.
- Setup my travel photography website.
- Write a quarterly newsletter.
Long-term goals
- Finish the first draft of my novel My Father’s Wife (which is 75% done) by December 2024.
- Take the Australian government to court and win!
- Look at completing a higher law degree overseas.
