My World Tour of the World

On 25 April 2010 by Diane Lee

I’m a late starter. I’ve only just got a passport at the ripe old age of 46. I’ve always wanted to travel, but in my late teens and twenties I was too busy exploring my immediate world to worry about going further afield. It was the 80s, man, and there was so much fun to be had right on my doorstep!

At 29, I had my daughter. And was a solo parent, so had to worry about keeping a roof over our heads and food in our stomachs. Overseas travel was a pipe dream, not to mention impractical! So I shelved any plans to head off on an adventure. Until now.

I have just booked a trip to go on a two week tour of Vietnam, leaving in September. And I’m so looking forward to the adventure of it all. I have the feeling that I will be well and truly bitten by the travel bug.

To follow my adventures go to The Travelling Homebody. Enjoy!
