I wish…

On 29 January 2015 by Diane Lee

This post was inspired by me saying ‘I wish…’ many times about certain things over the last week. I expanded the reach of my wish list somewhat to include other things, because, who knows? sometimes the universe genie may grant more than three wishes…

I wish my daughter and I could live peacefully under the same roof…

I wish that my daughter would see me as a person, rather than an annoying object/embarrassing non-person to be used and dismissed…

I wish the values I instilled in my daughter from a young age had not been forgotten as an adult…

I wish that my relationship with my daughter wasn’t so fragile and fraught…

I wish my daughter and I could be friends…

I wish my daughter was proud of my achievements…

I wish my Love & Other Stuff book series would take off and be a continued best seller in its category…

I wish Love & Other Stuff would be made into a movie…

I wish my adventures in publishing would lead to a full-time, extremely enjoyable way of making an income…

I wish for interesting opportunities from my adventures in writing and publishing…

I wish that I could work anywhere in the world from my laptop and tablet.

I wish I found writing easier and wish I wrote more consistently…

I wish Bella (my cat) a long and happy life…

I wish a long, happy and abundant life for me…

I wish a long, happy and abundant life for my daughter (even though she is a major pain in the arse at the moment)…

I wish that I could lose that last five kilograms…

I wish I could travel to somewhere different in the world every year for the rest of my life…

I wish I could continue running into old age…

I wish cyclists would observe correct etiquette along the linear park…

I wish I’d had more than one great romantic love…

I wish Tony Abbott was no longer our (Australia’s) Prime Minister, and that his replacement would be wise and empathetic and strategic…

I wish my garden would be lush and plump all year round with the fruits and vegetables I plant…

I wish Adelaide’s summers were milder, and winters were colder…

I wish Rundle Mall wasn’t such an obstacle course…

I wish people would be kinder to each other…

I wish people were kinder to animals…

I wish I had more time to just sit and read…

I wish my brain could connect the dots a tad faster…

I wish more movies like The Curious Case of Benjamin Button were made more often…

I wish there was less crap on free-to-air TV…

I wish the human race was more enlightened and respectful of diversity and difference…

I wish there was a vaccine for greed…

I wish for peace everywhere, all the time…

You’re the person that has been reading my website 😉
Love your wish list, there are a few of your wishes that could be added to my list.

I’m sure my wish list will increase by the end of the year! 😉

I also meant to say that your website provides excellent information for Adelaide cyclists, Geoff 🙂

This is a gorgeous list of wishes, Diane. Your love for your daughter, and your wish to see a better, more compassionate world is evident. If your worldly travels ever bring you to the United States, you are welcome to stay at my house.

Thank you, Aniko! You are too kind. I figured that when I was writing the list I couldn’t make it all about me…just in case the genie required a broader vision before he (or she!) granted any of my wishes 😉
